CfosSpeed password activation failing

I have just upgraded form Windows 10 Pro 22H2 to Windows 11 Pro 22H2. Part of that process required reactivation of CfosSpeed.
I am using version 12.50.2525 which had been working fine with W10 but attempts to activate under windows 11 using the key activator I get a message saying 'key activation failed' the is also a permanent pop-up when I mouse over the tray icon tha says 'wrong password'. The 16 digit password I am using is being copied and pasted from my original email received when the licence was purchased.
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling cfosspeed without success. Reactivations over the several years I have had my licence has never been a problem.
